Mount Longonot Schools is a unique institution that offers quality pre-school and primary school education. Whereas we endeavor to excel academically our primary role is to positively change the society by focusing on developing and producing unique individuals.
Our thrust in Mount Longonot Schools is to focus on the individual child and offer a child-centered education as opposed to a curriculum-centered approach. We firmly believe that every child is unique and hence uniquely gifted. Their development is our concern. We intend to be strategically positioned in shaping their lives through our education and mentorship.
We offer the Kenyan 8-4-4 system of education. However, to equip the individual learner with diverse exposure, we offer a number of extra subjects including music, art, ICT, drama, swimming, skating, French and soccer.
The Almighty God is at the summit of Mt. Longonot Schools’ establishment, programmes, existence and wellbeing. To His abundant grace, we give all honour and glory. The school embraces Christian values and guides learners on Christian principles. Discipline is vital in every person’s life. In Mt. Longonot Schools, we take discipline seriously. We however, practice an approach that ensures students are intrinsically motivated to behave well. Corporal punishment and other forms that demean the individual are not permitted. We build individuals who respect without fear and who feels confident about themselves.
